- Research Scientist - Computational Chemistry
Advanced Life Sciences is seeking a research scientist in computational chemistry to join our drug discovery group. The selected candidate will be responsible for applying computational techniques to several ongoing drug discovery programs, with emphases in rational drug design, predictive QSAR, computational lead optimization, and structure-guided design of focused small molecule libraries. To qualify, you must have a Ph.D. degree in computational chemistry or a related discipline with 1 to 3 years of molecular modeling experience. Candidates should have working experience in structure-based and ligand-based compound design, prediction of compound binding affinities, prediction of ADME properties, library design, and virtual screening. The selected candidate will be encouraged to present original research (papers, patents, presentations) at scientific meetings, as well as to write grant proposals (e.g., SBIR). Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a requirement.
