Advanced Life Sciences Announces Appointment
of Leading Academic Researcher to Board of Directors
Woodridge, Ill, May 21, 2001 - Advanced Life Sciences, Inc. announced
today the appointment of Rosalie Sagraves, Pharm.D., FCCP, to
its Board of Directors. Dr. Sagraves, a leading academic researcher,
is Dean and Professor of the College of Pharmacy at the University
of Illinois at Chicago.

has been a strong advocate for the field of pharmacy. Her affiliation

frequently sources of discovery compounds."
Dr. Sagraves is an authority on pediatric pharmacotherapy and
women's health issues and received the Kappa Epsilon/Merck Vanguard
award for women leaders in pharmacy. She is a fellow of the American
Pharmaceutical Association and the American College of Clinical
Pharmacy. Currently, she is President of AphA-APRS and is a member
of the America Pharmaceutical Association Board of Trustees. Dr.
Sagraves has authored over 60 articles and book chapters and 40
abstracts and is on the Editorial Board of Pharmacy Today and
American Pharmacy.
